WHERE THEORY MEETS PRACTICE
I believe in the power of leading by example. At 52 years old, I don’t just instruct my clients on what to do—I live the principles I teach every day. My personal journey as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Master World Champion, Pan Champion, and multiple International Open Champion, reflects the very strategies and mindset I share with my clients. These achievements have come from consistent dedication to both fitness and nutrition, using the same practical, effective methods I promote to those I coach.

My Story
Growing up, I was an avid athlete. I tried as many sports as I could get my hands on. But my true love was Wrestling. My passion for the sport drove me to compete at any cost, including my health. Like for so many high-school wrestlers back then, when it came to proper nutrition and training, there wasn't a lot of guidance.
Losing massive amounts of weight in order to compete at a certain weight class was just part of the sport.
During the season, I would wake up up about 5 every morning before school and run three to five miles, depending on how much "weight" I needed to lose that particular week - then spend another 2 hours at practice later that night.
My food intake was barely 1000 calories, most of the time less. And when I finally did eat a normal meal on the weekends, I would end up purging it all so I could do it all over again the next week. By the time I was 15, I was diagnosed with disordered eating not uncommon with athletes due to the requirements of their sport and the pressure to perform.
"...when I finally did eat a normal meal on the weekends, I would end up purging it all so I could do it all over again the next week."
Finally, with guidance and support, I learned how to maintain my weight safely, effectively - and emotionally. My performance improved on the mat and in the weight room. After which I developed a love for exercise and fitness in general, and a passion for helping others to achieve their best selves through proper nutrition and exercise.
I have been recognized as one of the top fitness trainers and rehabilitation specialists in North Texas, my extensive background brings a level of expertise, ranging from injury prevention and rehabilitation, performance training, to one-on-one & group fitness training.
I have a Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas in San Antonio and I am a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.
My love for sport and fitness keeps my active in weight training and at 52 years of age, I train and still compete in the "gentle art" of Jiu Jitsu.
And now, having two beautiful grandsons gives me the purpose and passion to continue to stay as healthy and fit for as long as am blessed - to watch them grow into strong and steadfast men.
